October Journal Challenge: Opportunities ahead for me

What do I see ahead for me? I think it depends on the context and I am a big believer in worrying about jinxing myself! Lots of people believe we can manifest things. In fact, one of my ‘homework’ assignments this week was to lookup Ester (Abraham) Hicks, who is an American ‘motivational’ speaker. She has many teachings (a synopsis of which is found here), one of which is anything that you can imagine is yours to be or do have. Which, when I read it, means you can manifest anything you want. I don’t agree, but that is just how I look at it.

But… I know I’d like to travel a bit more, domestically or abroad, and I’d like to incorporate the current training I’m taking. Yoga, Reiki, or the Oracle card reading I’m doing worked into it.

I am fascinated with Ayurveda and would like to delve deeper into that aspect of Yoga and be able to work more deeply with that arm of things. The whole self: body, mind, and spirit looked at through the lense of not only a physical state (exercise) but via a lense of how (and what) we eat, the lifestyle we lead, and what herbal medicines we can utilize to bring balance and harmony to us where we may need additional support.

The support work I do editing and support I do looking at potential research possibilities for sustainability is something I’d like to explore as well. I mentioned the webinar I sat in on last week, the main grant proposal is still alive, just waiting for the right opportunity and commercial partner to work with. Other projects lay in wait as well.

And there there is the mountain of craft projects in the studio… I am great at taking on other people’s work and leaving mine to wait for ‘one day’. What if ‘one day’ was tomorrow? The white storage cabinet that I recently inventoried is FULL of product I bought waiting to be made into products to sell at a Christmas market or Farmer’s market. The only stopping me?

Me.

So perhaps I should start looking to 2026 and get some of these ‘one day’ projects and get them off my books!
