October Journal Challenge: Things that went well today

In today’s age of ‘go, go, go’, it is hard to do as Ferdinand and stop and smell the flowers. We don’t always have time to enjoy the little things in our lives, or sometimes, we are blind to them, I don’t know which it is.

Things that went well today…

The big one was my son’s appointment with the rheumatologist! We’ve been waiting for seven months for the appointment and I was worried about it. For a myriad of reasons, but mostly, I was concerned about being dismissed. That our worries would be chalked up to growing pains, that the irregular blood work would be disregarded, and we would be sent on our way. However, we were thoroughly heard, asked many good, investigative questions, and my kiddo was given a good physical exam. And even though he isn’t currently being plagued by the pain that has been chasing him for years, he was was able to accurately tell the doc about it and even clarify that if he was in pain, he wouldn’t be able to do any of what was being asked of him. We are waiting on some testing now, and then we will figure out where we go from there.

We got the motorhome into the RV place for winterization. Which is good, but sad. I had hoped to go camping one more time, but this week is a nuthouse of appointments. So off she goes to get put to bed.

I had decided to make a plan to organize my time (so the thing that went well is that I made the decision to do it). Maybe even investigate a time-management app. I am a scattered bunch of leaves lately and I cannot keep on track. My husband uses some Microsoft task tracker, and I am a ‘to do’ list nut, but I want a list maker where I can action things into a schedule. It has to exist, right?

Finally, and take it for what it’s worth… I didn’t spill coffee on my cream coloured jacket! I vowed when I got it to never drink coffee while wearing it. I forgot that vow this morning. BUT I didn’t spill!

I know, the last two were a stretch, but sometimes, it is hard to remember when you’re really happy about the first big deal of the day!
