Day 17: Thoughtfulness

The most thoughtful thing someone’s done for you.

This goes back a long time…

Many (many) years ago, someone made me a “PMS Survival Kit”. While I don’t recall all of the contents, I know it had some of my most favourite and needed things in it…

Sour cream and onion chips, green olives, Tylenol, lady products, Cinnamon buns, a hot water bottle, crackers. The list went on and on! It was a fairly large box, maybe not so eloquently labeled in black sharpie marker “PMS Survival kit”.

This someone was a mostly clueless ex-boyfriend. The guy was a bit of an oaf. I was his first girlfriend – he was in his 20s when we met (I was 18 or 19). This gift was truly something he put a lot of thought into and showed he really paid quite a bit of attention to me, what I liked, and what I needed. It was a very thoughtful and kind thing that I don’t think I ever truly expressed just how much it meant to me to know he took the time and effort to express his feelings for me in this manner.

So if by chance he comes across this, thanks for that, it was very touching and heartfelt!
