Day 4: A small win

A small win you’ve had lately – I must admit, this perplexed me a bit. I don’t really look at things as “wins/losses”. What may be small to one, could be large to someone else.

Now, we recently did some renovations and both the flooring and the dropped ceiling came in under my initial budget! Win. But I don’t really think that fits the spirit of the question.

On Monday, I decided to sign up, rather whimsically, for a program. I had debated doing it for a while, but I am always filled with doubt when it comes to doing things for myself. Whether I’ll be successful, whether I’ll be good at it, whether I will enjoy it. Also, I wonder if I will have the stamina for the afternoon or if I will get too tired part way through.

It was called “The Radical Act of Being Enough” and was (essentially) a creativity workshop. It was looking to combine gentle movement, breathwork, and creativity to help release things like perfectionism, grant you a deeper connection to yourself, and to help break creativity blocks.

When I clicked the “Sign Up Now” button, this was a huge win for me because I felt like I was trusting in myself to do good things. Sadly, I got notification today, they’ve had to postpone the course! But, I am hopeful it will run soon as I was really looking forward to it!
